1. Who we are

Noval Watch ("we", "us") operates this website as an independent public-interest resource for buyers of Noval Properties developments. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the data controller for personal data submitted through this site. You can reach us through our contact form.

2. What we collect

Information you choose to submit through our forms: your name or initials, contact details, the country you are based in, your account of your dealings with a Noval development, and any documents you decide to upload.
Basic technical data needed to deliver the site securely (for example, server logs). We do not use advertising trackers.

You decide how much to tell us. You do not have to give your real name to make contact, although verified accounts carry more weight if matters proceed.

3. Why we hold it, and our lawful basis

Consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)): you actively choose to submit your account to us. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): maintaining an accurate, confidential record in the public interest, and helping affected buyers coordinate. Where documents contain special-category or sensitive material, we rely on your explicit consent.

4. How we use it

To maintain a confidential register of affected buyers.
To contact you about your submission or about coordinated action.
Only with your explicit, specific consent, to share anonymised details, or identified details, with journalists or legal counsel. Nothing identifying you is published on this site without your permission.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only: (a) with your consent, as described above; (b) with our own legal advisers; or (c) where we are required to by law. Our site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider that processes data on our behalf under its own safeguards.

6. International transfers

Our hosting and email providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent.

7. How long we keep it

We keep submissions for as long as the resource is active and any related matter is live, and then delete or further anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us through our contact form. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep submissions secure and confidential. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send anything you are not comfortable sharing.
